Winter flavor of the month series
The Hearth Series
Five flavors for short days and long tables.
Charleston does not get much of a winter, so we make one. The Hearth Series is what we want after dark in December: cocoa, molasses, chestnuts and the one custard we churn all year.
There is also a sorbet, because Gulf Coast satsumas are at their best in January and a cold, bright scoop is the right end to a heavy holiday meal. The series runs from December 1 to the last day of February.
This series is not running today. It is on the wall every year from December 1 to the last day of February.
