Work at the counter
Scooping is a people job first. We teach the ice cream; we hire for patience, a good memory for regulars and steady hands with a hot fudge ladle.
The roles
- Scooper and soda jerk. Afternoons, evenings and weekends at either shop. You learn every flavor, the fountain drinks and the allergen routine.
- Churning crew. Early mornings in the downtown kitchen: weighing, cooking bases, churning and packing pints for shipping days.
- Shipping packer. Monday to Thursday mornings: packing boxes in dry ice, with training and gloves.
